Ron Hix

Ron Hix, 71, of West Milton, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born March 22, 1943, in Springfield, to the late Russell and Marion (Moore) Hix. He married Jane C. Ross; she survives. Mr. Hix is also survived by a daughter, Kristina (Martin) Odom of Cincinnati, two granddaughters, Alayna and Ashley Odom; a brother, Leslie (Linda) Hix of Beavercreek; a sister, Phyllis (Fred) Burgess of Dayton; numerous nieces and nephews; and many longtime close friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Hix; and a sister, Patricia Wilmer. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and worked as a machinist for his company, Accuturn. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, October 28, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton, with Rev. John Johansen officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
