Mr. Ronald Keith “Ron” Pruett, age 63, of Waverly, TN, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in Waverly, TN. Ron was born on September 7, 1960 in Waverly, TN, to Hollice “Gene” Pruett and Jane Ellen Hughey Pruett. Ron had a love for the outdoors. He liked to hunt and fish and watch a good game of football. He was most known for his love for his family and friends and enjoyed giving the grandkids 4-wheeler and tractor rides.
Visitation for Ron Pruett will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 10 AM until the service time beginning at 1 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Larry McGranahan will be officiating the service. Interment will be at the Pruett Cemetery 801 Bucksnort Rd, Only, TN 37140.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years Anita Jane Karner Pruett; 2 daughters, Angela Brown (Jimmy), Waverly, TN and Laura Turner (Dustin), Franklin, TN; mother, Jane Ellen Hughey Pruett; brothers, Richard Pruett (Helen) Centerville, TN, and Benny Pruett (Janice) Warrenville, IL; sister, Carolyn Pruett, Centerville, TN; grandchildren, James (Kim), Rachael (Biggie), Nessa (Stetson), Tori (Hunter), Joseph (Reagan), Andrew, Riley, Alaina, & Hollis; great grandchildren, Kennedi and Leighton.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Pruett; son, Daniel Pruett; great grandson, Jace Wiles; sisters, Donna Pruett and Kay Pruett.
