Steven Glenn Essenmacher

Steven Glenn Essenmacher, 70, of Chesterfield, MI, passed away May 21, 2024, at McLaren Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township, MI. He was born April 6, 1954, the son of the late George and Agnes (Koss) Essenmacher.

He was raised on the family farm in Harbor Beach, MI. He attended and graduated from Harbor Beach Community Schools. When he was a young adult, he moved to Macomb County, MI, where he resided the remainder of his life. He was employed by MacLean Maynard Manufacturing, where he retired from in 2010. He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church (Mt. Clemens, MI). He enjoyed visits to the family farm with family and friends. For many years he enjoyed vacationing in Caseville, MI and annual trips to Frankenmuth, MI, during the holiday season. At family gatherings, he enjoyed playing euchre. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock music and attending classic car shows. Although he always said animals didn't belong in the house, he enjoyed the company of his beloved cat, Louie.

He is survived by his daughters, Jillian and Angela, two brothers (Jim and Bruce), 3 sisters (Janet, Virginia and Sheryl), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents are 2 sisters (Mary and Julie) and 2 brothers (John and George).

Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
