Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Memorial GardeRonnie passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026 at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Ronnie was preceded by his father, Adolf Barela; his mother, Betty Barela; his brother, John Barela; his sister, Veronica Barela; and his daughter, Lindsey Janelle Marie Barela.
Ronnie was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and grew up in Casa Solana. He later became an electrician and loved what he did.
Ronnie married Jolene Lockhart and had his son, Ryan Barela, and daughter, Lindsey Barela.
Ronnie had a deep love for his family, friends, pets, and music. One of his favorite things to do was to attend concerts. He was known for his love of sports, his strong bond with animals, and his ability to make people laugh.
Ronnie is survived by son, Ryan Barela, and sister, Kathy Barela.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on with every song he would sing, every sport he would watch, and every horse race he would attend. May he be reunited with his daughter and family, until we all meet again.
Dad, I hope I make you proud every day. Thank you for everything you did for me and the man you helped me become. I’ll carry you with me always. I Love You!
