Jeffery "Jeff" Bartley, age 65, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA.
Jeff was the son of the late James and Rose Lee Bartley and was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Dawn Tyler, and his lifelong canine companion, Sam.
Jeff worked for many years as a dozer operator for Bartley Construction and later as a truck driver for Ratcliff Trucking. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-nephews.
Most importantly, Jeff had a personal relationship with the Lord. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized on his son's birthday and officiated by his nephew, Craig Dunn, a moment that held special meaning for him and his family.
He is survived by his daughter Erin (Bridget) Cabrera of Dalton, GA; his son Bryan Bartley & Lisa Parker of Augusta, GA; and grandchildren Kaleigh Vaughn and Stryker Marshall of Dalton, GA.
Siblings include sister Sheila (Donnie) Dunn, brother Tim (Jan) Bartley, sister Kimberly (Mike) Davis all of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Brandy Thomas, Craig (Brandy) Dunn, Kalup (Cassie) Bartley, Kip (Elizabeth) Davis and Eli Davis; great-nieces and great-nephews, Shelby (Eric) Sosebee, Jaxon (Kaitlyn) Thomas, Sarah, Maddie, Sam, DJ, Lily and Hannah Dunn, Cooper and Kase Bartley. He is also survived by 3 great-great nieces, Emmalyn, Charlotte & Eden Thomas.
He is also survived by close and long-time friends Neil Ratcliff, Marty Campbell, Linda Larson.
Jeff will be laid to rest alongside his parents in Ellijay, GA. In accordance with his wishes, no formal visitation will be held.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for a graveside service on December 28, 2025, at 2 pm from the Jesus Church Cemetery, which will be officiated by Reverend Sharon Patterson.
Pallbearers Donnie Dunn, Craig Dunn, Kalup Bartley, Kip Davis, Eli Davis, Jaxon Thomas, Eric Sosebee, Sam Dunn, DJ Dunn and Neil Ratcliff.
