Ronald Beatty, 76 of Neptune City, passed away on Friday October 17, 2025 at his home. Ronald was born on January 1, 1949 to George and Helen Beatty. He was the first child born in Monmouth County that year.
Ronald married the love of his life Margaret (nee D'Amico) on August 23, 1975, and they just celebrated 50 years together. Ronald was a dedicated supervisor for the Township of Ocean Mechanical Services, having retired after 37 years.
Ronald will be known for his love for cars and motorcycles. He spent so much of his free time in the garage. He was known for going to Wall Racetrack with his siblings and family to watch races and even had a car in the races for many years. Ronald loved car racing, and was a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt. Ronald loved riding on his motorcycle with Margaret, and in his later years could be seen enjoying his bicycling. When he wasn't in the garage or out on the bike, Ronald loved gardening. He and Margaret took great pride in their home gardens.
Ronald is predeceased by his parents George and Helen Beatty; brother George "Tommy" Beatty; and Brother in Law Lenny D'Amico.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Beatty; Aunt Doris Spagnuolo; brother Robert "Bobby" Beatty; sister Carol Gravlin (dec. George); Nephews and Nieces Russell, Eric (Godson), Michael, Gail, Wendy, Jodi, Heather, Debbie and Kimberly; Sister-In-Law Elizabeth Elmquist, and Theresa Turner; as well as a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, cherished family and friends. Ronald will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday 10/23 from 5-7p at Ely Funeral Home in Neptune, NJ. Please see elyfuneralhome.com for full service details and to give condolences.
