Ronald Beckham Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 8, 2025.
Ronald R. Beckham, affectionately known as Ron, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by the love of his life and children in his final moments. Ron leaves behind his devoted wife, Carol, and children, Sean & Angela Beckham, DeDe and Brian Winter. He was a cherished grandfather to Macie, Bryce, Madison, Braden, Landin, Trent, Gio, Fallon, and Carter, and a beloved great-grandfather to Ryder, Emmie, Hunter, and Brayden. His sister, Sandy Perry, brother-in-law, Chuck Perry, and nephews, Robert and Kenneth Perry, also survive him.
Over the course of his 81 years, Ron wore many hats. He began his career as a Psychiatric Technician at California State Hospitals in Porterville and Agnew, before transitioning to the Agnew Fire Department. His passion for firefighting led him to the San Jose Fire Department, where he rose from firefighter to Fire Inspector. At one point, he drove trucks transporting goods in California's Central Valley and even tried his hand at selling cars in Oregon, a venture where his charismatic personality shone.
Known for being the life of the party, Ron had a knack for storytelling and humor that captivated all around him. He was a devoted San Francisco Forty-Niners fan, and he relished playing golf with his many friends. Cars were a lifelong passion, and he often sought out project cars, much to his family's dismay. Ron's ability to forge friendships was remarkable, leaving him with a network of friends across California, Oregon and Washington. He was always willing to lend a hand, no matter the task, and in return, was blessed with supportive and caring neighbors, who in every way, were family. He had a special bond with the neighborhood dogs, always ready with treats, and his own dogs-Ebony the black lab and MacGregor the Scottish terrier were his constant companions. He delighted in taking them on which were really car rides around the neighborhood. His favorite though was Gracie the yellow lab. Above all, Ron's greatest joy was his family. He deeply loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and cherished every moment spent with them. His vibrant spirit and generous heart will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Ronald, please visit our Tree Store.
