Ronald Edward Becklin, son of the late Lloyd and Gerry Becklin of Fruitport, Michigan, passed away on November 22, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. Born on December 17, 1951, Ron dedicated his life to what mattered most-his family and the loved ones who filled his days with purpose.
Ron's dedication extended beyond his home and into his community, where he faithfully served as a Trustee for Fruitport Township for many years. Before his retirement in 2020, he built a long and rewarding career in the Tool and Die industry.
He was a member of Olivet Reformed Church for 36 years, where he served as both a Deacon and an Elder. In more recent years, he attended Living Life Church, where he continued to grow in his faith and maintain a strong relationship with God.
Ron was a man of deep love and unwavering devotion. His kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and his gentle strength left a lasting impact. He loved with his whole heart-quietly, steadily, and without hesitation. His presence was comforting, his humor soft and genuine, and his capacity to show up for others was unmatched.
He lived a life full of simple joys and meaningful moments. He was an avid golfer who loved to walk and cherished his time on the course. He loved camping and being outdoors, where he found peace and happiness with his family. Ron loved to travel, finding joy in seeing new places and creating lasting memories with his family along the way. He especially cherished family traditions and the time spent together at the cottage-a place filled with years of laughter, togetherness, and treasured memories. He brought that same warmth and enthusiasm into other things he loved, including the teams he cheered for. Every season, no matter the odds, he faithfully rooted for all Detroit sports teams and was a devoted University of Michigan fan.
One of Ron's greatest joys was being a grandfather. He was a constant, and had an enthusiastic presence at every sporting event, school program, recital, and activity his grandchildren were part of. Whether cheering from the sidelines or sitting proudly in an auditorium, he never missed a chance to show up for them. His support was steady, joyful, and full of love-memories his grandchildren will carry with them forever.
Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kerri Becklin; his son Brandon (Rachel Becklin) and their children, Grady, Ellie, and Olivia; his son Jordan (Christine Becklin) and their children, Charlotte and Charley; and his daughter Shealyn Becklin and her children, Broton and Bella Zervas. He is also survived by his siblings Marty (Karen Becklin), Lee (Lisa Becklin) Linda (Dan Tanner), and Joni (Larry Fox) Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Al Becklin.
