Ronald Keith Berry, 82, of Amarillo, TX passed away Monday, June 2, 2025.
Family visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Perry Hawkins officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Ronald was born on June 8, 1942, in Plainview, Texas, to W.S. and Claudine (Chitty) Berry. He was raised by "Ren" Cross. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard, where he received the Army Commendation Medal and the Texas Faithful Service Medal. By the end of his military service, he had achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. On May 4, 1963, Ronald married Melva Richards in Amarillo. After his military service, Ronald had a long career as a truck driver for Texaco and Walmart. He had a passion for automobiles, particularly old Chevrolets.
Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter, Trava Berry, and brother, Wendell “Ray” Berry and his wife, Pat.
Survivors include his wife, Melva Berry, of the home; two daughters, Juton Buescher (Ron), of Helotes, TX, and Renee Stapp (Chris), of Saudia Arabia; two brothers, Donald Gene Berry (Pam) and Jimmy Wayne Berry (Sue), all of Amarillo, TX; and four grandchildren, Brittani Toliver (Jackson), Samuel Ellis Stapp, Benjamin Berry Stapp, Joseph Digby Stapp; and great-granddaughter Charlotte Larea.
