Ron and I grew up together through grammar and high school. We were the BEST of friends and have often thought of him since we moved away. We had some great adventures and I will miss him dearly!

Dear Janet - I was never fortunate to get to meet Ron, but I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember you well from our "young girl" years, and I know you dedicated your life to your husband and family. I hope I get to meet you in person again someday. You are in my thoughts ...

Heartbreaking to learn of Ronnie´s passing. I knew Ronnie in grammar school and he was a genuinely good person who was easy to talk with. Only after 2011 or so did a lot of us reconnect on Facebook. My wife Cathy and I extended our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and many friends.
May God comfort and carry Ronnie´s family through the difficult days ahead.

Tracy and I are so very sorry. I met Ronnie on the first day of classes at Southern Seminary. The three of us spent so much time together. We will always remember the little camper where he lived. I did get cold in there during Kentucky winters. Over the years we would touch base over the phone and then via FB. The last time was just a couple of weeks ago when I was facing surgery. He assured me that God was in control and he would be praying. He was a precious man who loved Jesus and his family.

Ronnie taught me how to water ski and how to deal kindly with others. He was the big brother I needed!

My favorite memories of Ronnie were early Sunday mornings getting ready for worship. Our team would practice together, checking mics and keys. He always loved playing, calling it his way to worship.

Ron was such a precious human being. Best memories were at Smith Lake. We laughed and time spent was so precious. Time spent at Emily´s pool and Christmas parties was just so special. He was such a kind hearted man who loved his family and God. I know he suffered so much with his back. He was just a delightful human being and I know he will be missed by many. What I do know is this sweet man is singing with the angels and glorifying our God!!!

Ronnie and Mark came to visit us in Woodland Park one time and stayed for a couple of days. They would get on the piano and sing and act like goobers. They were so adorable and funny and I´ll never forget it!

I remember Ronnie doing the (pretend) banging his head against a post when he was a a teenager. He was so funny. Had us all howling with laughter. Man, he loved family like no one else I know.

I'm thankful that God brought our paths together at a conference in Nashville 45 years ago, which later led to Ronnie being very patience teaching me to slalom on the smooth as glass Smith Lake. Then being invited to be a groomsman in Ronnie and Janet's wedding was a special experience. Although it's been years since we've seen each other, I have still felt connected. I loved Ronnie! And you too Janet! I appreciate the love and commitment the two of you shared, and your faith in Christ that has anchored you along the way. I cannot imagine the loss of a spouse. I'm praying that you will find Jesus' shoulder a helpful place to weep as he holds you and helps you to grieve well. Thank you Janet for being an example to follow as you walk with Jesus down this bumpy road.

"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." - Psalm 62:1-2 (NIV)
