Ronald Bishop Obituary

Ronald W. Bishop

December 31, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald W. Bishop, who departed peacefully on December 31, 2025. Ronald, affectionately known to many as Mr. Ron, concluded his earthly journey with dignity and grace, surrounded by the comforting presence of his wife Phyllis and his long time nurse Rachel and the dedicated care of the hospital hospice staff.

Ronald was a truly exceptional individual, he served in the US Army for two years, worked and retired from the government and whose life was characterized by immense generosity and an unfailing kindness that profoundly touched all who had the fortune to know him. He served as a guiding light, a source of profound warmth and wisdom, enriching countless lives through his thoughtful counsel and joyful spirit. His memory will be cherished as a deeply devoted husband, a beloved uncle, and a loyal friend, roles he embraced with unparalleled dedication.

His boundless compassion, keen insight, and genuine concern for others were hallmark qualities that shaped his interactions and left an indelible impact on his family and community alike.

Ronald is survived by his cherished wife, Phyllis; his dear brothers, Fred and Wayne; and a multitude of adoring nieces and nephews, each of whom held a unique and special place in his heart.

We will forever be inspired by his extraordinary life and the enduring legacy of love, integrity, and warmth he leaves behind.

Viewing and reception will be held for VA friends and family Friday January 9, 2026 from 5 to 8 pm at Fairfax Memorial home then he will be flown to Tennessee for memorial and burial
