Ronald Blount, a beloved musician and a dedicated family man, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on April 28, 1944, Ronald lived a life filled with laughter, music, and cherished moments with loved ones.

Ronald was not only admired for his quick wit and funny demeanor, but he also had a profound passion for music. His love for playing the keyboard, guitar, and drums brought joy to countless people. Whether performing for friends or sharing a melody with family, music is what connected him to those around him.

A proud veteran, Ronald served in the United States Navy for seven years aboard the USS Independence. His commitment to his country was honored with several accolades, including a Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with a bronze star, and a National Defense Service Medal.

Ronald leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, Rick (Carol) Blount; grandchildren Chad (Brooke) Blount, Kayla Blount, and Tyler (Kelly) Blount; and great-grandchildren Audrey and Jackson Blount. He also is survived by his sister, Carol (Ray) Harness, and brother-in-law Paul Lieveistro. Along with numerous other extended family members. His fiancé, Debbie Whipkey, and her children, Jerry Ray Courts and Missy(Tom) Dehner brought much joy to Ronald in his later years.

He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Blount; mother, Reva Hosmer; father, George Blount; and sister, Sandy Lieveistro.

Ronald proved to have a fighting spirit after a terrible car accident in 2011, when the odds were against him. He never let the troubles he endured change the caring, kind, and funny man he was.

Ronald’s legacy of love, laughter, and music will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
