Ronald Buschur, 84, of Philothea passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Gardens of St. Henry. He was born November 11, 1941, in Philothea to the late Leon & Laura (Alt) Buschur. On November 23, 1963 in St. Joe Catholic Church, Ft. Recovery, he married Connie (Eifert) Buschur and she survives in Coldwater.
Ron is also survived by his children, Tim & Claire Buschur of Coldwater, Jackie & Jeff Gaerke of Brownsburg, Indiana, Denise Litmer, Todd & Tara Buschur and Kelly Ontrop all of Coldwater, grandchildren, Paul and Joey Buschur, Daniell and Kirsten Gaerke, Kyra-Jo & Ryker Thurston, Nick Litmer, Eryn & Ben Antrim, Jennifer Litmer, Bryson and Blade Buschur, Hunter, Dakota, and Sophia Ontrop, great-grandchildren, Wesley and Reid Thurston and Daisy Litmer, and in-laws, Dan & Dorothy Eifert of Maria Stein, Joyce & Hank Schwieterman of Coldwater, Mark & Judy Post of Ft. Recovery, and John & Pauline Faller of Ft. Recovery.
Ron was the last of his immediate family and is preceded by his siblings, Patricia & Maurice Jutte, Joy & Lavern Homan, and Eugene & Jeannie Buschur and brother-in-law, Paul Eifert
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea, the Knights of Columbus and the Men’s Sodality. He retired after 48 years at Hemmelgarn & Sons in Philothea. He was proud to be one of the last true born Philothites. Ron was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Ohio State Buckeyes, and enjoyed golfing and woodworking.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Philothea. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Philothea. Friends may call from 3 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, December, 30, and on Wednesday from 9 am to 10 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
