To the family. Our deepest sympathy in your loss of your father, grandfather. Our families share many memories, some good, some not so, when our Mike and your Tom were young-uns. They were hunting and fishing buddies. Let the memories flow in of times with your MOM & Dad and smile.

I'm deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Carl, one of the great men I have been privileged to know during my lifetime. Among other things, he was a solid man of faith and a fine role model for those of us who were richly blessed by having known him. As the patriarch of a wonderful family of neighborhood pals that I grew up alongside and remain friends with today, he exerted a somewhat quiet, but powerful, influence on my personal growth and development. He and his beloved wife, Brenda, were among various "surrogate" parents that helped other adults keep a watchful eye on their children as we explored the hills, valleys, woods and wetlands of the semi-rural area that we called home. Not only did they keep us in check and correct us when necessary, they took an active interest in our health and well-being. And much of what we learned from them came through observing the top-notch examples that they set with their own lives. The benefits of that commitment to building a better community are immeasurable. Today, my thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Carl's family and friends at this difficult time. And I offer him a heartfelt salute for a life well lived.

Our deepest sympathy to all the Carl family.
Ron & Brenda were like brother & sister to us.
Ken grew up as a neighbor with Ron & hunted & fished together. We double dated with them & played many crochet games in the Carl's side lot.
Later we all bowled together, when on vacations together with them. I (Mae) worked with Ron at Hammond Machinery. We have spent New Years eve. every since we have all been married & have played dominos together forever. We have so many wonderful memories & love the whole family.
