Very coincidentally to Jim's note below, this is also fishing on the intercoastal on Ron and Roberta's boat where I also hooked a large stingray. We kept it in the water though. :-) Also a small shovel-head shark. I will miss my good buddy Ron.

I was blessed with Ron's friendship for many years. He was my lunch pal at Verisign and that was many good times walking around Savannah trying out various eats. I also enjoyed shooting with Ron at the range; boating, fishing. Always good times with he and Roberta. I'm sad to learn this news and Roberta ; my deepest condolences.

We were out on his boat fishing on the Intercoastal around Tybee and he or Berta hooked a stingray and when he jerked the line, the Ray was pulled into the boat. You've never seen 4 people jump so high and so fast.
