Ron Corns, age 48, passed away on October 4th, 2011 after succumbing to injuries sustained at the scene of a motorcycle accident. Born in South Bend, Indiana on July 5, 1963 to parents, Helga and Edwin Corns, Ron will be remembered as a wonderful father, loving husband, dedicated son and brother. His generosity was overwhelming and his optimism was contagious. He was loved by many for his honesty, sincerity, caring, and humble nature. Ron graduated from high school in South Bend, Indiana and matriculated at Purdue University, where he excelled in science and earned a degree in chemical engineering. He furthered his education, obtaining a master's degree in business administration at Bowling Green. He met his wife, Tina, after moving to Philadelphia to start a new job in the chemical gas industry. He served most recently as the CEO of American Gas Group, a company started with good friend, John Armelagos. Admired for his skills of negotiation, Ron could appreciate the differences in people, put them at ease and motivate them to work together. He inspired a spirit of adventure and fun in those around him. He loved to travel to exotic places around the globe. A dedicated family man, his biggest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was very supportive and proud of his sons. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and remembered most for his kind spirit and phenomenal capacity to love. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Tina, sons , Austin (7), Graydon (3), father, Edwin Corns, sister, Marie Pusinelli, nephews, Adam, Grant, AJ, and Mikey. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helga Corns. Friends and family may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Sunday October 9, 2011 from 2-8 pm. Ron was a wonderful person to know and work for. I was so fortunate to have known him outside of work as well. I was also fortunate to have the oppurtunity fishing with him. He was such a great family guy, and knowing how dedicated he was, was infectious. I will miss him and will forever remember the impact he made in my life.
