Ronald Allen Curtis, age 71 of the Black Pond Community, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at his residence.
He was born December 5, 1952 to Eddie Lecil and Clotield Curtis in Jefferson, Alabama. Ronald enjoyed fishing, bee keeping, and tinkering with wood working. He loved spending time with his family. Everyone who knew him called him "pawpaw".
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pinetucky Missionary Baptist Church in the Black Pond Community where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. The burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Curtis Sr., David Curtis Jr., Scott Taylor, Justin Rowe, Zac Rowe, Steven Moody, and Jason Nelson.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose Marie Curtis; sons, Bobby Curtis, David Curtis (Doris); grandchildren, Jessica Taylor (Scott), Candy Rowe (Justin), David "Bubba" Curtis (Brittany); great grandchildren, Shelby Taylor, Zac Rowe (Hannah), Kaiden Rowe, Raylon Rowe, Eva Rowe, Jonah Rowe, Kaylee Curtis, Haylee Curtis; sister, Phyllis Hand; brothers, Jerry Curtis, Eddie Curtis (Ruby), and Kevin Curtis (Dawn); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lecil and Clotield Curtis; and his brother, Wayne Lecil Curtis.
