Ronald T. Ellison, 80, of Worcester, died peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2025, in his home after an illness.
Born in Sterling, Connecticut, on May 31, 1944, he was the son of the late Thomas and Rita (St. Germain) Ellison. Ronald received in GED and earned two associates degrees from Mount Wachusett Community College. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran serving from 1965 to 1967 where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Campaign Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and the Good Conduct Medal. Ronald was a driver employed by McCarthy Bus Transportation for many years until his retirement.
Ronald was a history buff, who love visiting historical landmarks and reading books about the subject. He loved ghost hunting encountering several paranormal activities throughout the years. Ronald loved going to the Salisbury Beach and studying the Bible and prayer groups within his apartment complex.
Ronald was survived by his three sons, Herbert Ellison and his wife Deanna of Claremont, NH, Wayne Ellison and his wife Lisa of Milford, NH, and Christopher Ellison of Gardner; four daughters, Christina George and her husband Richard of New Braintree, Debra Brow and her husband Steven of Hardwick, Becky O’Dell and her husband James of Ware, and Lisa Ellison of Gardner; fourteen grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Sally I. (Marcy) Ellison, who died November 10, 2023.
Calling Hours will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
