ENGEN - Ronald L. Engen, age 62 of Grandville, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2001 after a brief illness. His brother Fred preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Carolyn; children, Lynne Engen, Tim and Gwennan Engen, Kari Engen; grandchildren, Olivia and Charlie Engen; parents, Stanley and Marian Engen; brother Wayne and Barb Engen. Ron worked for Kelvinator before starting his career in Law Enforcement with the Kentwood Police Department from which he retired as Sergeant after 27 years of service. The Funeral Mass will be said on Monday at 10 a.m. from Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Lawie celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
