Ronald Euler Obituary

Published by Legacy from Jan. 14 to Jan. 19, 2026.
Ronald Adreon Euler, 81, a resident of the Leland of Laurel Run, Waynesboro, PA, passed away, January 13, 2026. Ron was born August 31st, 1944, in St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore Md son of the late Carville Adreon Euler and Doris K. H. Withers.

Ron was a rambunctious child who found amusement in pestering his sisters, who he loved dearly. Even as a child the world was a stage, and he was certainly a bright shining star. He sang in the choir at his church and was delighted by all types of music. He Graduated Woodlawn senior high school in 1964.

Ron was drafted during the Vietnam War and proudly served his country as an Army Specialist 5. He was stationed in the 93rd Evacuation Hospital, Intensive Care Ward 3, Long Binh Post Vietnam.

Ron dedicated 31 years working as a Psychiatric Aid at Rosewood State Hospital, Owings Mills Md. He made a lasting impact in many lives working with disabled adults and children. The residents fondly referred to him as, "Daddy Euler."

Ron participated in John's Hopkins drug trials for HIV/AIDS treatment. In 1996, Johns Hopkins was at the forefront of HIV/AIDS research, focusing on the revolutionary Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART). This year marked a turning point transforming HIV/AIDS from a death sentence to a chronic, manageable disease, a shift profoundly studied at Johns Hopkins. This was a great source of pride for Ron.

Ron loved elephants and his home was adorned with many. He spent countless hours creating fabulous gardens where he spent his time relaxing in his hammock. He was never one to shy away from a microphone or the spotlight. He was always excited for karaoke, and took great pleasure in serenading his audience. He enjoyed nature, which included collecting rocks, feathers, pinecones, shells and other things of beauty from the natural world. He adored bird watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. He was known for entertaining and throwing lavash parties. His 60th birthday "gala" was an evening, like Ron himself, that will never be forgotten.

Ron spent his later years as a resident of the Leland of Laurel Run in Waynesboro PA, where he made many meaningful relationships. Everyone who knew him, loved him.

Ron was a passionate supporter of the Public Broadcasting System of Maryland, the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS foundation and the AIDS Memorial Quilt. Ron also participated in walks to benefit AIDS causes.

Ron is survived by his sisters Janet Weal, Sharon MacNichol and Sue O'Ryan.

The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 12 PM to 2 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.

Those desiring may make memorial donations to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, 9701 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 610, Beverly Hills, CA 90212.
