Ron Firecrow "Uncle Ron"
Aneteveoste " Stands Different"
Nov 8th 1960 – June 25th 2024
Ron was born Nov 8th 1960 to Elva StandsInTimber and Joseph Firecrow Sr he was the 8th child in a family of 10.. Ron grew up and attended school around the Northern Cheyenne Reservation before going into the Morman Placement Program and moving to Washington state.. Ron had an especially close relationship with his foster parents making sure he called and always checked in with them.. Our Uncle Ron shared great relationships with his Nieces. Nephews.. and Grandchildren are always there to help and be the protector.. he stepped in as a father figure for Harlee Gene and Tiri LaTisha because that's who he was as a grandpa he made sure they always had somewhere to go and had what they needed even if it meant going without on his part. that was our Uncle Ron always looking out for us. Uncle Ron always said get an education first before all as he was an awesome teacher and even better student of life. He told all of us that with an education there is no limit to what you can do.. the memories we will have of our Uncle Ron is sitting around visiting. laughing.. and sharing stories of people and places in our life. Uncle Ron was always quick to tease and laugh always had good words for everyone even if at the time you were too stubborn to hear them.. Ron made friends everywhere he went and was always sparking conversations in any situation.. He attended MSU-Billings graduating in 2000 with a BA in Fine Arts.. I will always remember that day personally because he called me to make sure I would be there.. Thank you Uncle for including me in your adventures and life accomplishments..
Uncle Ron shared so many loves of life with all of us even the love of music.. he showed us the great sound of the oldies and Rock even hair bands but also our traditional Northern Cheyenne music Uncle Ron was a flute maker and he said the Cheyenne Flute was for all men it was the way they courted women.. he knew the wolf songs my grandma Elva sang it was awesome being a part of his life.. Uncle Ron shared special relationships with his siblings always happy at their life accomplishments and always cheering for all of them made him a very special person to us all.. his bro's Russell Brooks, Eugene Littlecoyote, Goldstein Little eagle, Robbie Gondara always held a special spot in our Uncles life he called these men his brothers his family and he loved and respected each of them.. always talking of their new adventures especially those of his Southern Cheyenne Brother Russell.. teasing him about everything..
