Ronald P. Gaca

Columbiana – Ronald P. Gaca, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was born July 24, 1950, in Youngstown, the son of Frank Sr. and Jennie Gaca.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.

Ronald worked for the Pepsi Cola Company and in law enforcement until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Jude’s Parish.

In his spare time, Ronald loved fishing at Lake Milton. He also enjoyed going out on his speed and pontoon boats, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, always attending their sporting events. He would do anything for his family.

Ronald will always be remembered lovingly by his wife, the former Kathleen Pastello whom he married March 31, 1976, two children, Jennifer (fiancé Thomas Mitcheltree) Gaca, and Christopher P. Gaca; three grandchildren, Katelyn Mitcheltree (Jack Marshall); Thomas Mitcheltree Jr., and Kaylie Mitcheltree; soon to be born great-grandson, Hudson; sister-in-law, Karen Gaca; his beloved dog, Bella; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Carter; and a brother, Frank Gaca Jr.

Family and friends may pay their respects from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral service.
