In 1962, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served as a Radarman in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Energy. I lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA, an organization which Ron deeply valued and gave many years of his life supporting.
