Died: July 13, 2025 in Ottawa, IL
Ronald Allen Gisler, 63, of Peru, passed away, Sunday, July 13, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru with Abbot Michael Calhoun, OSB of St. Bede Abbey officiating. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Ronald was born May 1, 1962 in Spring Valley to Norman Jr. and Carol (Pakula) Gisler. He attended Hall High School and worked as a supervisor for Tee Group Films until retirement. He married Cyndee Walgenbach on August 30, 2003 in Peru. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, splitting wood, hanging out in his garage, and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cyndee; a daughter, Stacy Gisler of Florid; two sons, Brad Gisler of Spring Valley and Matt (Kristi) Gisler of Cedar Point; a step-daughter, Deanna (Jason) Zeman of Peru; seven grandchildren, Kynzie, Emily, Anthony (A.J), Landon, Ashlyn, Kayson, and Colton; four step-grandchildren, Kelton, Adrianna, Sage, and Jadie; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Zaylen, and Henleigh; two sisters, Paula Fues of Cherry and Lori (Thomas) Brown of Cherry; a brother, Norman (Carolyn) Gisler of DePue; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lynn Marie Gisler in infancy; a brother-in-law, Bryan Fues; a nephew, Justin Pratt; a step-son, Bryan Leonard; and a step-granddaughter, Johnna Woodshank.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.
