Ronald Alfred Gruver, lovingly known as “Ron”, age 66, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Green Hill Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ron entered this life on April 12, 1957 in Germany to the late Gary and Ingeborg Gruver. He had a passion for wood working and home improvement, a skill that allowed him to create beautiful pieces that will stand as a testament to his craftsmanship for years to come. Additionally, Ron had a competitive spirit when it came to playing golden tee golf, engaging in friendly games that brought laughter and camaraderie to those around him. He was a member and past president of the Clarksville Jaycees. He enjoyed the many years of involvement and fun that came along with this organization. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories and creating memories that will be treasured by his loved ones forever.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Finn Oliver Gruver.
Survivors include his loving wife, Venetia Gruver; children, Keith (Emily) Gruver, and Melissa Gruver; bonus children, Ashley Smith and Jonathan Smith; along with his dear grandchildren, Jourdan Oliver, Zane Oneal, Clyde Michael, and Emery Kaylyn. They will carry on Ron's legacy of love and warmth in their hearts as they remember the wonderful times they shared together.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christian County Animal Shelter, 2935 Russellville Road, Hopkinsville, KY 4220.
