Ronald Hicks Obituary
Ron graduated from Vailsburg High School in Newark, NJ. Ron worked security for M.M. D. He has 27 years of experience in law enforcement that includes working as a Corrections Officer, Corrections Counselor, Civil Rights Investigator and International Police Liaison Officer. He was also currently a Consultant for the American Correctional Association. He had also previously served as the President on the Kansas Correctional Association. Ron had nearly two years of experience in private security. In his free time, Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
On September 8, 1990, Ron married Cynthia E. Roberts in Hutchinson, KS.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cynthia; sons, Jeremiah D. Hicks and Ronald C. Hicks; grandchildren, Kamari and Symere Hicks; in-laws, Carmon Roberts; Jeffrey and Katherine Roberts, Kenny and Jodi Roberts, Wetona Tolson, Dellis and Rev Leroy Neal, Kirk Roberts and Raelene Weathers; fur babies, Dudley, Scribbles and Zeus; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at1:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS.
