Jeanette, Ronna & Blaine: I'm just now (November 15th) learning of Ron's passing. I'm stunned to know he has been gone since March.

Ron & I worked together at Continental Bank for 20 years from 1968 to 1988. I helped train Ron when he first joined Continental at the 8th & Christain Street Branch and much later from 1978 to 1988 Ron worked for me in the Bank's Credit Card Unit.

All during that time and even for years after, Ron & I were true & great friends as well as working associates.

We played racquet ball together, ate blue claw crabs at Dinardo's on race st in Philly, traveled together to many bank functions, often sang together where ever anyone would listen and we shared all of life's challenges and our struggles in getting ahead professionally.

Ron helped me move into my new home way back in 1975 and I visited him numerous times in Delaware county where we shot pool in his great basement set up. Jack Donahue, another Continental guy was with us often.

Ron was without a doubt a very special and rare person. Warm, giving, involved and the best kind if friend to have. I really loved Ron and I'm very, very saddened to learn of his demise.

My heart goes out to you Jeanette and to your lovely children. I will always remember Ron, his great charm, warm friendship and loving nature.

So sorry to hear of Ron passing. I have fond memories of my youth watching him dance and sing with a martini glass perched on his head while my mother Margaret Jelus Honabach and Aunt Bert would sing along and laugh and laugh. Prayers for comfort to all my cousins.

Condolences to the Jelus family.I remember Ron well, he was a Great and Dynamic guy. I especially remember the times he spent at our house in Marion Heights, I learned my first dance steps from him. Again my sincere condolences.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing.We grew up together in Mt.Carmel. We sang in the church choir and camped at choir directors cottage in Bear Gap. Ron was a good friend while growing up, my deepest sympathy to all the family. Rest in peace my old friend Dave Newton

I did not know Ron, nor do I know the Jelus family. After reading heartfelt comments from all of you who do and took the time to write, I get a sense of Ron's impact and the love you have for him. I wish I had met Ron. Tonight, I will make a Manhattan and toast Ron's memory. May God comfort the Jelus family.

Deepest sympathy to Jeanette and his children. I was a high school classmate of Ron's, Mt. Carmel High School, class of 1956. I am sure our class mates that have passed are now having a grand time singing and dancing with Ron. God bless.

As you know, Jeanette, we knew Ron through you. To us he was a very special person.

Even though he was a true Mount Carmel "Red Tornado", because of you, he attended our SHS '55 Class reunions.

We always thought of Ron as a classmate, rather than a classmate's spouse. His good humor and spirit always won the day. That good humor and spirit will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear Ron passed away. He was a great neighbor and friend. We enjoyed our New Year's Eve at the Legion and his karaoke at our clubhouse. He is missed

To Jeanette and family,

Ron was a very special person. Jane and I grew to know him through Jeanette, our high school classmate.

Although Ron was a Mount Carmel "Red Tornado" He always attended our Shamokin High School Class of '55 reunions.

He was a very large part of the SHS '55 reunion welcoming party.

He also entertained us with his music at the "Coal Cracker" picnics at Knoebels Grove.

Although I never personally witnessed it, I always suspected, he could "whistle a bird onto his shoulder"

He was truly a "man for all seasons". RIP Ron your work here is finished.

Your wonderful spirit will be sorely missed.
