Ronald Jenkins Obituary
Mr. Ronald Edward Jenkins, age 76 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:00-7:00pm Friday, February 2, 2024, at McRae Funeral Home in Boaz. Visitation will be 5:00-6:00pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Gadsden, AL on October 21, 1947, to Jack Jenkins and Mary Spradlin. He graduated from Sardis High School in 1966 where he then enlisted into the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was also a Police Officer in Albertville. He served in the Vietnam War as a Gunner’s Mate. After seven years in the Navy, he then enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps where he made it a career. Some highlights from his career was Military Police, Water Survival Instructor, Drill Instructor, and Criminal Investigation Department.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife Maria May Jenkins of Boaz. Daughters: Melody Brown Gamble of Cullman, AL, Anne Fengler, Julie Morales, and Kathryn Jenkins of San Diego, CA, Mary Fonseca of Jacksonville, FL, and Gina Lemaire of Germany. Son: John Jenkins of Germany. Mr. Jenkins had a total of nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and counting. He is also survived by his brother: James Robert Jenkins and his sister Marilyn Goggans.
