Ronald Arvid Johnson

In the 1960s, our family spent time with Ron's family during the summer camping in northern Minnesota. The ways of camping were a bit foreign to Ron, but he was very willing to learn from my dad, and what he lacked in knowledge he made up for in enthusiasm. These were special times I will always cherish.

I have been a friend of Ron's sons for about sixty years. I will always remember how kind Ron was to me. One favorite memory of Ron is that he took time every winter in the late 1960's to the early 1970's to flood his backyard and maintain a hockey rink for his sons and their friends, including me. His garage was used to change into and out of skates. He never complained when the side of his garage was peppered by slap shots!
