Ronald Kite Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home on Mar. 30, 2026.
Ronald Ovid Kite, 89, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at Terrabella Assisted Living in Harrisburg, North Carolina. Born on November 20, 1936, in Lake Butler, Florida, Ron was the son of Alvin and Hazel Turner Kite and grew up surrounded by the close-knit community of his hometown.

Ron built a long and dedicated career with Addressograph Multigraph-later AM International-where he spent more than 40 years. It was there that he met the love of his life. While attending a training school in Ohio, he crossed paths with a young woman who worked there. A long-distance courtship blossomed, and in November of 1959, they were married, beginning a partnership marked by devotion, hard work, and shared joy.

Outside of work, Ron had a craftsman's hands and a patient spirit. He enjoyed refinishing antiques, woodworking, and spending time on the golf course. He loved going out to eat, discovering new places as well as returning to familiar favorites. Retirement suited him well, giving him the time to enjoy the simple pleasures he cherished most-family, hobbies, and the ease of a well-earned slower pace.

Ron is survived by his son, Steve (Martha) Kite of Harrisburg, NC; his daughter, Janet (Johnny) Todd of Huntersville, NC; and his grandchildren: Chad (Lauren) Turbeville, Jennifer Kite, and Jason Kite. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Brayden and Lynlee Turbeville; his brother, Fred Kite of Middleburg, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will remember him with affection.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and by his brother, Donald.

Ron lived a life marked by steadiness, kindness, and quiet craftsmanship-both in the things he built and in the relationships he nurtured. His legacy lives on in the family he loved and the many lives he touched along the way.
