Ronald Krank

It is with mixed emotions that I, Kim Capra, share the passing of my beloved father, Ronald Krank, who left us just days shy of his 89th birthday. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on the 18th of December, 1936, and it is here that he cultivated a life of remarkable love, resilience, and steadfast dedication to his family and community.

Ronald, a highly skilled architect, was known for his meticulous eye for detail and his ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Following his retirement, his passion for service led him to become a guardian ad Litem, a role in which he tirelessly advocated for children and families navigating the complexities of the legal system. He was a beacon of hope and an anchor of stability during turbulent times. We remember him not only as a devoted father but as a man who left an indelible impression on every life he touched. Ronald was preceded in death by his adored wife, Myra; his son, Steve; and his parents, Morris and Cecilia Krank. Survived by daughters, Kim Capra and Kari York; grandchildren, Canon, Morgan and Gavin Capra, Emily York and Schuylar and Jordan Krank; loving partner, Jacki Paster.

Funeral service for Ronald will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Temple Israel, 2323 Fremont Avenue South, Minneapolis and also on zoom: www.hodroffs.com/RonaldKrank. We will continue to honor Ronald's memory with a SHIVA beginning the same day at 6:00 PM at Temple Israel. As we reflect on the words from the Book of Proverbs, "The memory of the righteous is a blessing," let us gather not in sorrow but in celebration of a life well-lived.
