Ronald Dean Lampman, 80,
Blue Hill, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his home in Blue Hill. Memorial service will be Saturday, January 10, 2026, 10:30 a.m. at the Blue Hill United Methodist Church,
Blue Hill, Nebraska with Pastor Michelle Loeffelholz officiating. Inurnment with military rites by A.L. Shirley Post #176 and the Army National Guard Honor's Team will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery,
Blue Hill, Nebraska. There will be no viewing or visitation as his wishes were to be cremated. A memorial has been established to be designated at a later date. Ronald was born on April 2, 1945, to Harry E. and Gladys L. (Meents) Lampman on the family farm near Rosemont, Nebraska. He graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1963. He then went to work for the City of Blue Hill for a short while before going to work as a lineman for South Central Public Power District. Ronald served in the Army from September 28, 1965, to September 12, 1967. After his discharge from the Army, he went back to work for South Central Public Power District until retiring in 2010. Ronald married Joyce E. Douglas on April 17, 1971, and were married for 46 ½ years until her death in 2017. Ronald loved to help his parents on the farm, loved to hunt, watching sports, bowling and loved his family and job. Ronald had a sense of humor and made a great impact on many people. Ronald was a member of A.L. Shirley Post #176 and the V.F.W.
Ronald is survived by two daughters, Shantee' Chavez significant other David Clark, Hastings, Nebraska, Morissa (Randa) Lampman, Hastings, Nebraska; two sisters, Janice Skrdlant, Bladen, Nebraska, Bonnie (Kevin) Scribner, Hastings, Nebraska; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Butch (Connie) Douglas, Doniphan, Nebraska, Brian (Cindy) Douglas, Hastings, Nebraska, Kevin (Joan) Douglas, Council Bluffs, Iowa; three sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana Paulson, Grand Island, Nebraska, Cindy Douglas, Hastings, Nebraska, Virginia (Christopher) Long, Hastings, Nebraska; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ronald is preceded in death by his mother and father; wife; mother and father-in-law, Clell and Elvina (Arends) Douglas; brother-in-law, Richard Johnson; sister-in-law, Ella Marie Nielsen; brother-in-law, Edward Skrdlant.
