Ronald W. Levra
age 84, of Park Falls died peacefully on Sunday May 12, 2024 at Park Manor Nursing Home. He was born on January 26, 1940 in Iron Belt, Wisconsin, the son of William and Dorothy (Strick) Levra. His early life and schooling were in Iron Belt. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and served his country. In 1963 he married Karen Doering. Together they raised three children. Ronald worked as police officer for the Wisconsin State Patrol and American Motors in Kenosha before moving his family to Park Falls in 1972 and working for the Park Falls Police Department. He was later employed at Napa Auto Parts and known as "Napa Ron". After the death of his wife, he went to seminary and served as a priest for a short time before retiring. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ron loved his house plants and visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by three children; Colleen (Brian) Phillips of NC, Dan (Tina) Levra of Butternut, Dale (Tami) Levra of Elkorn, NE, and by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen, and sister JoAnn (James) Pilon.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls. Military honors under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion Post 182 will follow.
A visitation will be held from 9:00am until the hour of the service on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at the church.
Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls at a later date.
