Crawford Funeral and Cremation Service - OxfordRonald “Ronn” S. Lindert, age 74 of Oxford passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at Columbus Health and Rehab. Ronn was born in Beaver Dam to Vilas and Helen (Bobholz) Lindert on June 4, 1951. He graduated from Cambria High School in 1969 and furthered his education at Troy State University. In 1972, Ronn was drafted into the US Army where proudly served his country for several years. He was united in marriage on June 23, 1973 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oxford to Georgia Johnson and together they were blessed with six children.
Ronn worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for many years, finishing his career as the Comptroller in Washington DC. He rejoined the workforce as a procurement agent for the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice, retiring in 2020. Ronn loved to garden and spent countless hours tending to his flowers and yard. He was an avid Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan.
Ronn is survived by his wife of 52 years, Georgia and six children: Heather (Gene) Kangas of Oshkosh, Heidi (Chris) Meyer of Appleton, Mark (Allie) of Washington, Alyssa (Chris) Burwell of North Carolina, Andrea (Tim Cyracus) Lindert of Appleton and Jaxon of Oxford. He is also survived by many grandchildren, four siblings: Glenn (Ruth) of Rio, Deborah (Hugh) Shaw of North Carolina, Chris (Linda) of Rio and Carol Sue (David) Johnson of Rice Lake along with brother-in-law, Eddie (Dina) Johnson and sisters-in-law: Sue (Dennis) Hodges and Noreen Lindert.
Ronn is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom.
A memorial service for Ronald Lindert will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will preside and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will established in Ronn’s name.
