Ronald E. Lynch, 65, of Du Bois, Illinois, passed away at 12:06 pm December 7, 2025 at his home. He was born January 8, 1960 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Paul and Dorothy (Reid) Lynch. Ronald married Natalie Czerniejewski (Skorch) on June 29, 2002 and she survives.
In addition to his beloved wife, Ronald is survived by his daughter, Megan Czerniejewski and husband, Joshua Downes; son, Logan Czerniejewski; brother, Gary Lynch and wife, Sandra; sister, Brenda Anderson; sister-in-law, Stephanie Dent and husband, Rick; brother-in-law, Marty Skorch and wife, Randie Marie; several nieces and nephews; his cherished pet and companion, Rastus; and a host of friends.
Ronald worked as a coal miner for many years. He worked for CHS and retired as a truck driver for Winfield United. He loved his Harley Davidson, the Fighting Illini, and the Saint Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the Saint Charles Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus #4476.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville, Illinois and Friday, December 12, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in DuBois, Illinois. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father George Nwachuknu officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Charles Catholic Cemetery in Du Bois. Memorials may be made in Ronald's honor to the Washington County Animal Control, Saint Charles Catholic Cemetery, or the charity of the donor's choice.
