Ron MacQuarrie

July 5, 2025

Prairie Village, Kansas - Ron MacQuarrie, 82, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. Ron was born in Oakland, CA but spent the majority of his adult life in Kansas City MO. He was a professor and administrator at UMKC for 40 years.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Silverado Memory Care and to Ascend Hospice who provided companionate and respectful care for Ron. He will be missed by his wife, Cindy, his sons Bryan and Tom as well as numerous family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on the UMKC campus on August 16, 2025, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Ron's memory to his scholarship fund at:
