Ronald J. Malcore, age 73, died Monday, January 23, 2023, in Appleton after a brief illness. He was born on September 21, 1949, to the late Elmer and Ethel (Hoslett) Malcore. Ron was a Vietnam veteran and was a member of the VFW after serving his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing chess, and loved having his morning coffee with his friends.
Ron is survived by his sister, Carol Kussow; and his nieces: Marie (James) Allard; Arlene (Perry) Dietzler; Kathryn (Scott) Hendricks; Laura (Tim) Krzewina; and Kimberly (Tim) Huck. He is further survived by great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kenneth Kussow.
Visitation for Ron will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at ST. PIUS X CHURCH (500 W Marquette St., Appleton) beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Military Honors conducted by VFW Post 2778 to follow. Committal Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation.
Ron's family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care in Ron's final days.
