Mr. Ronald Lee McBrayer, 85, of Columbia, died on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born on December 31, 1940, he was the son of the late Eugene H. McBrayer and Eloise Shark McBrayer.

Mr. McBrayer began his working career at 16 years old at Beeline Alignment in Columbus, Ohio. He worked his way up to management of the company until leaving in 1977 for South Carolina. From there he managed Industrial Alignment and Frame Service in Columbia, before taking ownership in 1994, where he remained actively working until his 85th birthday on December 31, 2025.

Mr. McBrayer was an avid golfer throughout his life and belonged to many clubs, including the Fort Jackson Golf Club from 2000 to 2021. He was also a devoted supporter of baseball as a member of the Bombers Booster Club. Mr. McBrayer was a member of the Masonic Lodge Chapter in Worthington, Ohio, for more than 60 years, and was a past President of the South Carolina Trucking Association.

Mr. McBrayer is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane McBrayer; his children, Roxanne Amidon (Charlton) of Delaware, Ohio, Randall McBrayer (Molly) of Charleston, SC, and Teri Lovell (Herbert) of Yorktown, VA; grandchildren, Lauren Clevenger (Taylor), Matthew Rentenberg, Kevin McBrayer (Izzy), Cody Lovell, and Tessa Lovell (Alex Nelson); 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Reiselt; and sister-in-law, Anne McBrayer. He was predeceased by his parents listed above and his siblings, Donna Hackworth and Roger McBrayer.

A time of visitation for the family to receive friends will be held beginning at 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Shives Funeral Home, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia, SC.
