Ronald Loren McGee, 74 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on November 3, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on December 26, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Loren C. McGee and Genevieve (Spiker) McGee. Ron graduated from Zanesville High School in 1970. He later worked at Mid Atlantic Canners for over 27 years and at Walmart in South Zanesville for over 14 years. Ron was a member of the VFW Post 1058, American Legion, and Eagles #302 in Zanesville. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church, and he was a founding member of the Y City Custom Car Association, member of the Columbus Autorama, and a member of the Street Survivors Car Club, all of Zanesville. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and loved working and socializing in his garage on his numerous projects. Above all, he loved spending his time with his family and loved ones.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandy (Matheney) McGee; 3 sons: Jim McGee, Adam McGee, Andrew (Kendra) McGee; daughter, Amanda (Travis) Cramer; grandchildren, Logan Lee Cramer, Loren James McGee, Raelyn "Rae Bug" McGee, Remi "Remington" McGee, Mason "Masonite" Cramer; great grandchildren, Weston Loren McGee, Eliana Lynn McGee; special friends, Danny Archer, Ron Orwig, Dave Thorton; many other family members and good friends.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Loren C McGee and Genevieve (Spiker) McGee.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 6, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Friday November 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held on Friday November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Kudart officiating. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
