Ronald Irwin Meanor Sr., 90, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Pittsburgh to the late Stanley and Mildred Troup Meanor. Ronald was a dedicated worker, retiring as a journeyman machinist from Oberg Industries in Sarver. He was a man of great kindness and incredible character, served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Ron had a love for the outdoors and cherished time with his family. Ron was a lifelong Protestant and prayed daily for his family with Karen, his beloved wife of 67 years. He will be immensely missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Colgan Meanor; and brothers, Harold and Melvin. Ronald is survived by his children, Terri Lynn (Jeffrey) Hessom, Ronald I. Meanor Jr., and Joel Kenneth (Kathy) Meanor; sister, Donna Lee Graham; grandchildren, Joshua Gancas, David Large, Andrew Meanor, James Colgan (Christina) Meanor, Megan (Tony) Flores, and Samuel Meanor; and great-grandchildren, Logan Gancas and Elijah and Cove Flores. Family and friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, in JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A service celebrating Ron's life will be immediately following the visitation at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with Jeffrey Hessom officiating. Burial will be private.
