Ronald William Meyer

Ronnie was a great friend when I started my sophomore year at Normandy HS after loosing my folks. Then buddies at Mizzou. After loosing touch we contacted him in Las Vegas and met Dianne. We visited back & forth after that. Them in Vegas & Estes Park then us in Montrose, CO. Calling always on Mizzou sports. So very sorry to loose a good guy and great friend. He and Dianne are now reunited. She was so worried about Ron & then her quick passing was very hard on him. Love to the family.

I had not heard from Ron Meyer for some time and tried several times to contact him by phone. Our last conversation was about him going into an assisted living home.
Ron and I worked together in Corporate Security with Hilton Hotels Corporation and a few other gaming outfits over the span of several years. During this time together we became close friends. We shared many a laugh together. Since we had both served in the Marine Corps and were retired Law Enforcement, we shared a common ground.
Ron Meyer, I miss you buddy. Semper Fi ....

He will be missed. I thought he was way too strong and healthy a couple years ago when he entered assisted living and now here we are. Very sad. He was nothing but kind and generous to us all. He deserved great respect for all he did, was, and stood for. I am personally glad that he accepted my apology for not originally going to him to ask for his daughters hand in marriage. It bothered me that I didn't and I waited too long to tell him so, and ask for. I remember days long ago having a cold beer...he liked those, and occasional cigar. He was a man's man. Quiet, listening and observing. I guess the FBI and Marines were all ingrained. I had good times visiting his family in St. Louis when we made visits. Neat old Midwest neighborhoods and pubs. Greg, Kathy, and Toast. Take in the moments and times they don't last forever. Rest in Peace Ron, you were a great man for us all to know. God Bless.
