Ronald Walter Miller, much loved by his family and friends, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 27, 1952, Ronald was a kind-hearted man known for his wonderful spirit, caring nature, and remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. A devoted partner, step-dad, and cherished papaw, he held a special place in the hearts of his family and friends.
Ronald proudly served in the United States Army, honoring his country with dignity and dedication. Following his military service, he became known not only for his contributions but also for his engaging personality. He was a jokester who enjoyed making others laugh, fostering warm and memorable moments that will be cherished by all who knew him.
His interests were many, with fishing being a particular favorite, often spent in the delightful company of his nephew, Teddy. Ronald had a passion for playing pool with his friends, embracing friendly competition with good humor. His love for the outdoors was evident in the immaculate condition of his yard, where he took pride in nurturing the beauty of his surroundings.
Ronald is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Patsy Childers, and his step-daughter, Kathleen Childers. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chloe and Layla, who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his siblings: James Miller, Jayne Boyd (Kenneth), Carol Baughman (David), David Miller (Cindy), Susan Reynolds (Jim), Robert Miller (Jane), and Mary Ann Madero (David); brother-in-law, Theodore Maytas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Todd, Teddy, Betheny, Jennifer, Michael, Eric, Alex, Kelly, Luke, Preston, Micah, and Walter. Alongside this large family are a host of great-nieces and great-nephews and many close friends who will forever remember Ronald's warmth and humor.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Thelma Miller, his sister, Linda Maytas (née Miller), and his nephew, Damien. Ronald’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and love. His family and friends will honor his legacy as they carry forward the lessons he taught them about generosity, camaraderie, and the importance of family bonds.
