Ronald Clifford Miner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, pastor, veteran, and servant of God, was born on March 7, 1949, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Clifford Miner and Margaret Andersen. He was called home to be with his Lord on January 25, 2026, in Arlington, Texas, surrounded by the legacy of faith and love he so faithfully built during his life.
Ronald was the devoted husband of Jacqueline Kay Miner, the love of his life and partner in faith and ministry. Their marriage was a living testimony of God’s covenant—marked by devotion, sacrifice, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Ron’s deepest earthly concern was always for Jackie, and even in his passing, his heart remains with her.
A proud and loving father, Ronald is survived by his sons: Brian (Tammy), Chad (Keefer), Clifford (Candace), and Peter (Alicia). He found immense joy in his role as “Grandpa” to his treasured grandchildren: Hue, Binh, Sang, Star, Tony, Bao, Genesis, Trinity, Kristen, Olivia, Avery, Aidan, Cecelia, Quinn, Cole, Ezekiel, and Samuel. His family was his ministry long before the pulpit ever was.
Ronald was preceded in death by his sister Marsha and is survived by his sister Wendy Miller.
A man always seeking deeper understanding of God’s Word, Ronald pursued higher education with passion and humility, attending Nazarene Bible College Seminary. He answered God’s call to serve as a Pastor, shepherding others with compassion, wisdom, and a steady devotion to truth. Known as a true gentleman and scholar, Ron believed that faith and learning walked hand in hand, and he encouraged all who knew him to grow—spiritually, intellectually, and personally.
Ronald also honorably served his country as a United States Navy Veteran, entering active duty on November 27, 1968, and later carried the distinction of being a Vietnam Veteran. His service reflected the same quiet strength, discipline, and sense of duty that defined every part of his life.
In his quieter moments, Ron found peace in woodworking and joy in reading, always curious, always learning. Whether studying Scripture, crafting with his hands, or engaging in thoughtful conversation, he lived with intention and grace.
Above all, Ronald Clifford Miner was a man of God—faithful, humble, and steadfast. He lived his life as a reflection of Christ’s love, and now rests in the promise of eternal life, hearing the words he so fully believed: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that those wishing to honor Ronald’s memory consider a contribution toward Jackie’s continued care. Jackie was the love of his life, and Ron would want nothing more than for others to watch over her in his absence, just as he always did.
Ronald’s legacy lives on in every life he touched, every soul he guided, and every prayer he prayed. Though deeply missed, his faith assures us that this is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
