Ronald Lee Nemes

Like Ron I graduated from Riley High School in the Class of '69. Long before the term "band geeks" was coined that would have been us. We spent 4 years together, 5 days a week, in concert and marching band. Our senior year Ron was head of the percussion section and I was drum major. I remember after football games Ron, myself and several others would usually go to McDonald's on South Michigan Street and then proceed to TP fellow band members' homes on the south side of South Bend. After graduation I didn't see Ron again until our 50th high school reunion. I enjoyed visiting with him. Of course we talked about Band and his service in the Navy and mine in the Army. Always a nice guy, rest in peace Ron.
