Ronald Noskey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Koskey Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 4, 2023.
Ronald Joseph Noskey, 67, left his physical life on Friday, December 1, 2023, in his home. Ron was known and loved by many in this community. He will be missed.
Ron was born December 24, 1955, in Iron Mountain, where he met his wife and graduated from high school. He married his high school sweetheart, Lori (Snowdon) Noskey on October 2, 1976 and they have lived a life of adventure and love for 50 years, 47 years of those in marriage. Ron and Lori settled in Negaunee in 1987, where they raised their two children.
While hunting and being in the woods was one of Ron's favorite pastimes, he never let any grass grow under his feet. He was a man of many talents; a skilled mechanic, builder and carpenter, an avid hunter and fisherman, and drummer. Ron loved nothing more than watching his grandchildren in athletics and sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren. He always found joy in letting others take the shot and took pride in watching his loved ones learn a new skill. There was nothing that Ron could not do or figure out how to do. Ron's talents were not limited to construction and the outdoors. He restored many classic cars; painting and detailing with exact precision. He celebrated fair-weathered U.P. days with gardening and golfing and always enjoyed time spent with family.
Surviving are his wife; children, Jessica (Kellie Socia) Noskey and Benjamin (Anna Dompierre) Noskey; grandchildren, Braiden & Braileigh Noskey; father and mother-in law, Jim and Joyce Snowdon; many nieces and nephews; his three sisters: Jane Kipke (Kurt) of Traverse City, JoAnn Cook (Harry) of Tawas, and Janet Noskey of Woodstock, Vermont; and brothers-in-law, Randy Snowdon (Sue) of Escanaba and Michael Snowdon (Cara) of Iron Mountain. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Elizabeth & William Noskey.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM on Monday, December 11th at Koskey Funeral Home, Negaunee, with a brief memorial service beginning at 3:30 PM. The family invites you to join them at Jackson's Pit for dessert and drinks immediately following the celebration. Come and raise your glass to Ron.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the family, with proceeds to be split between the Marquette Legion Blues Baseball Program and Superior Fastpitch Softball. Donations can also be made directly at any Ember's Credit Union, where an account is setup in Ron's name for the baseball and softball teams.
