What a beautiful obituary. That sounds strange to say, but it was really nice to read about your dad. I only knew him from one perspective but from my perspective he was always such a big personality, especially when I was young, and always so likeable and big-hearted. I'm really glad I knew him.

I have wonderful memories of your dad. I still think of him making everyone pancakes early in the morning before driving us up to Okemo for a day of skiing. Or taking us fishing on the Sound in the Mako and showing me what to do (and not do). Or letting me borrow an emergency $20 to fund my first date when my parents were away. Or that beautiful Z28 he had.

But my main memory of your dad was him talking. Somehow he seemed to know so much about everything, which always amazed me, and he was so engaging. He will forever be a key figure in my childhood.

Thinking of all of you at this time. I loved your Dad and lived next door to all of you on Overbrook Drive. In fact, I use to babysit for all of you. I have fond memories of your Dad walking me home and playing tennis with him at DCC. He was a wonderful family man and incredibly smart with a great sense of humor. Thinking of your Mom.

Jim, Eric and I are so sad to hear this news and wish we could lessen the sorrow you are feeling. We never met your Dad but after reading his obituary, we see how much of your Father lives on, in you. He was quite a well rounded and intelligent man. Even the great smile lives on. I love you so much Dad, and I miss you every single day. Thank you for being an amazing father and being the funny, witty, smart, incredible man that I was so lucky to look up to for 48 years. You will not be forgotten.
