Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Ronald Lee “Ron” Parker, age 83, who passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at his residence in Statesboro. Mr. Parker was a native of Jacksonville, Fl. He traveled the world while serving in the US Army and afterwards in his safety career. Mr. Parker was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Statesboro and a former member of Consolation Baptist Church in Baxley where he served as the music minister.
Mr. Parker is preceded in death by his wife, Delorise Parker; his parents, Francis Murray and Corinne Orae Edmondson Parker; and three siblings, Jack Williams, Billie Ellison, and Geneva “Pug” Louzon.
Surviving are his five children, Jack Reed (Ruban), Terri Reed, Annette Ansley, Lee Baltimore, and Cori Nessmith (Brent); thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Fran Schabert also survive.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. from Consolation Baptist Church in Baxley with Reverend Samuel Sepec officiating.
Interment will follow in Zion Church of God cemetery with military honors.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Consolation Baptist Church in Baxley.
Active Pallbearers are Jesse Ansley, Sawyer Baltimore, Joseph Baltimore, Drew Carroll, Hayden Carroll, and Rob Rempel.
Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Nessmith, Hunter O’Berry, Andrew Boyles, and Jessie Rogers.
