Ronald Duane Payton 77 of Union Point, GA, passed away November 28, 2025. He was the son of the late, Charles Dale & Opal Elaine Payton; also was preceded by brothers, Scott, Randy, & Andy Payton. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovahs Witness, Lexington congregation.
Mr. Payton was very proud of his military service, he was retired from the United States Navy. Mr. Payton received, National Defense Service medal w/1 Bronze Star, Navy unit Commendation w/2 Bronze Stars, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Battle Efficiency “E” Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal w/4 Bronze Stars, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/1 Silver Star. He worked in the submarine services, on the USS Ray.

Survivors are: Wife, Brenda Payton; daughters and a son, Cynthia Taylor, Ronald Payton, II, Minnie Richlie; sister and brothers, Ladonna Strait, Greg Payton, and Jim Payton; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
