Ronald H. Reinl, age 92, of Kaukauna, formerly of Charlesburg and New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna.
He was born February 26, 1930, to Otto & Elizabeth (Schoenborn-Puetz) Reinl. Ronald attended St. Charles Parochial School in Charlesburg.
On May 18, 1948, he married Dolores Schneider at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. Dolores preceded him in death on August 1, 2021.
Ronald farmed on the Reinl family homestead in the Town of Brothertown. He also worked at Thielmann Cheese Factory in Charlesburg and at Kohler Co.
Ronald enjoyed fishing, working in the garden, feeding & watching the birds. Family camping trips usually entailed family singing around the campfire. Ronald was a very faith filled individual. He attended Mass daily, prayed the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet, and was an adult server at St. Charles and Holy Rosary. He looked forward every year to the weeklong retreats at Monte Alverno and at Chambers Island.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Charlesburg. Ronald was also a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Knights of Columbus Council 12393 in New Holstein. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Charles Parish and served on the St. Charles Church Council for two years. Ronald delivered meals on wheels and volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul store.
Survivors include his daughters, Pat (Dave) Wettstein of Jackson, WI, Judy (Rich) Lodes of Fairfield Glade, TN, Joanne (Greg) Murphy of Tomah, WI, Kathy (Stan) Schmitz of rural St. Cloud, WI, Mary (Richard) Dreifuerst of Cooper Landing, AK; his sons, Ron Jr. (Kim) Reinl Manitowoc, WI, Jim (Sue) Reinl of Appleton, WI, and Joe (Kathi) Reinl Oshkosh, WI; 18 grandchildren, Robin (Drew) Johnson, Amy Schlei, Scott (Brenda) Sabel, Steven (Lisa) Sabel, Michael Sabel, Melissa (Garrett) Sebastian, Christopher Diamond, Keith Diamond, Craig (Amy) Schmitz, Damien Schmitz (Fiancée, Kim Gerner), Dustin (Cassie) Dreifuerst, Casilyn Dreifuerst (Fiancé, Todd Challacombe), Ron III (Nicki) Reinl, Ashley (Paddy) Doherty, Brandon Reinl (Fiancée, Brittany Marske) Jaclyn Reinl, Alex (Kaitlin) Reinl, and Megan (Andrew) Edwards; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Roehrig and Jeannette Brennner; five sisters-in-law, Helen Reinl, Germaine Mand, Romilda Schmitz, Evelyn Muellenbach-Pavlicek, and Ella Mae Schneider; and two brothers-in-law, Franklin (Ginny) Schneider and Edwin Koenigs. Ronald is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Dolores; his parents; his daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Bill) Sabel, granddaughter, Kathryn Wettstein; great-grandson, Christian Diamond; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruno and Clara (Freund) Schneider; siblings, Cordelia (Anthony) Nett, Jerry Reinl, Melvin (Margaret) Reinl, Eugene (Vianne) Reinl, and Sr. Virginia Reinl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernard Brenner, Richard Roehrig, Melvin (Dorothy) Schneider, Marcelline (Ralph) Gundert, Mildred Koenigs, Marvin Muellenbach, Louis Pavlicek, Donald Schmitz, and Alphonse Schneider.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Ronald will be laid to rest next to his wife, Dolores, in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Ronald's family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI on Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM.
A Memorial Fund will be established in his name.
