Our beloved father, grandfather and dear friend passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at his home, age 74. Ronald was born October 2, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Alphonse and Octavia (Ceglarek) Rinz. He graduated from St. James High School in 1965 and was a U.S. Army veteran, where he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. Ron retired from Nuwcor Corporation after several years of dedicated service and was a lifelong member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. He was also a 3rd Degree Brother Knight with the Knight of Columbus Council #414, former member of the Bay City Elks #88 and a member of the Sports Car Club of America. He enjoyed boating, racing, old cars and stock market investing.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Kate A. (Aaron) Wirsing, her mother Janilee Rinz, two grandchildren, Luke and Elle Wirsing and special friends, Gary (Kathy) Kuerbutz and Bud (Karen) Jasman. Ron was predeceased by his son John Ryan Rinz.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church, 1000 S. Wenona Street, Bay City, MI 48706. Fr. Robert Kelm will celebrate Mass and private inurnment will be at a later date in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and at church on Saturday after 10:00 AM. A Knights of Columbus Bible Presentation will take place Friday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
